My Story

I have a B.S. in Home Economics with a concentration in Foods and Nutrition, and I spent more than thirty years working as a chef and caterer. Later in my career, I worked as a personal assistant, estate manager, and personal chef for high-net-worth families. I share that not to impress you, but so you understand something important: none of that prepared me for this. I am not a medical professional. I am not a CNA. I am a widow and a mother of three children, and five years ago, I was thrown into caring for my mother, and I had to figure almost everything out as I went.

"Loving Care: Short Hacks for Dementia Caregivers" is a much-needed book for people who do not have the time or energy to decipher scientific lingo; or simply do not need another person telling them, "It will be okay if you just follow these rules".
